Meet The New Habitat Partner Family

Meet the new Habitat Partner family, taken on the Huth Avenue property in Penticton at 4:00 today (April 26, 2011).  The family was chosen after four public meetings, an application process, interviews and reference checks. John Draus and April Tulford are Summerland residents who have a daughter Chloe, who is nearly one year old. They are very excited to be partnering with Habitat for Humanity South Okanagan for the next build on 12 Huth Avenue.

The build will begin this summer to ensure that John, April and Chloe will own a simple, decent house. Cal Mieklejohn, a local architect is working on the plans for this environmentally sustainable house. It is a great opportunity for this young family, made possible by the donation of the Huth Avenue lot by Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Dueschle.
